Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a special technique of acupuncture that improves the appearance of the face. Fine needles are carefully placed under the skin to stimulate collagen production and hydration while blood and lymphatic circulation is enhanced, resulting in a reduced appearance of facial discolorations, bacteria production, scars, inflammation, and a healthier glow.

Muscle tone is increased, lifting the jaw and chin areas. Even one treatment will improve the appearance of your skin. A Chinese facial massage and/or microcurrent stimulation will be performed first, so make sure to come in without make-up.

Over the course of treatments the skin plumps up with a smoothing effect. There is zero down time and you can do all normal activities immediately after a treatment.

Dermatology Acupuncture
Rachelle also specializes in dermatology acupuncture. Dermatology acupuncture treatments are geared towards enhancing the treatments you are currently receiving from your dermatologist. Common skin conditions that we regularly treat include acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, lichen planus, redness and inflammation, itching, slow healing, and dry skin. Acupuncture in combination with medical treatments can enhance standard treatments by allowing them to be more effective with less side effects. Many skin conditions as well as the healing process are affected by inflammatory chemicals, stress hormones, blood and lymphatic circulation, immune function, and nerve function. Acupuncture can regulate all these functions in the body. Acupuncture can also support the body by enhancing the effectiveness of pharmaceutical treatments, such as supporting the function of the Liver and Kidneys.

Acupuncture pairs with MiraDry treatmentAcupuncture is known to enhance lymphatic circulation as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-histamine effects. Acupuncture may reduce swelling, pain, and other discomforts that commonly occur after MiraDry treatment. The sooner you receive treatment the better, you may start acupuncture treatment the same day as MiraDry.

Dermatology Acupuncture and Micro-Current Treatment-

  • *New Patient First Treatment (Includes Consultation)- 75 Minutes

Pediatric Acupuncture
Rachelle has been trained with special techniques in Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat children. Many relaxing options are available, including needle-free cold lasers, Shoni Shin Japanese Techniques with gentle skin stimulating tools, Tuina (Chinese therapeutic massage), and tiny acupuncture needles for the children who are interested in that option. Rachelle works with parents to show them ways they can support their child's progress at home. Since your child's body is actively growing, acupuncture treatments tend to be more effective and the results occur much sooner than a typical adult. Children come to our office for many concerns, including digestive discomfort, mal-absorption, insomnia and bed wetting, poor development, anxiety, autism, ADD/ADHD, low immune function, cough, and many types of pain.

If your child is stressed, plays sports, if they have growing pains, knee or back pain, suffer from insomnia or digestive concerns, pediatric acupuncture might be just for them. Anyone under 18 can be treated, including infants. We also offer needle free options or a mixture of traditional acupuncture, cold laser therapy, acupressure and auricular acupuncture.

Laser Acupuncture - Needle Free Acupuncture
Low-Level Laser Therapy, also known as "Cold Lasers" Multiple published studies have shown good effects of laser acupuncture for the following conditions: hiccups, bed wetting, weight loss, post-operative nausea and vomiting, pain control, surgical anesthesia, dental anesthesia, carpal tunnel syndrome, dry eyes, tinnitus, allergies, stroke-related paralysis, and many more! There is no pain with a low-level laser, as a matter of fact, you cannot feel anything at all! This is a great form of acupuncture treatment for those with needle-phobia, sensitive patients, cases where a needle cannot be used, children, and the elderly. Patients can even purchase a laser themselves and use this as a form of treatment between their regularly scheduled acupuncture treatments. Very safe and zero side-effects. Acupuncture lasers do not require the use of glasses because they are Class IIIa lasers. These are considered eye safe because the blink reflex is fast enough to prevent any damage to the retina. *Because lasers have been shown to stimulate cell growth and repair, it's not a good idea to treat where you don't want cell growth, such as skin cancer.

Needle Free Chinese Medicine Treatment-
Treatment includes your choice of gua sha treatment, cupping treatment, tuina treatment, micro-current treatment, acupressure, or acupuncture point laser stimulation. Choose two therapies for a 60 Minute Treatment.

Acupuncture Injection Therapy (available in Colorado)
Defined as the injection of sterile herbs, vitamins, minerals, and homeopathics into acupuncture points by means of hypodermic needles. The use of these substances will be based on Oriental medical concepts. Acupuncture injection therapy is typically provided for the treatment of chronic conditions, and more severe conditions where we need a strong response from the body. Injections can also be performed for enhancing facial muscles and reducing the appearance of wrinkles using substances including homeopathic collagen, and reduction of skin inflammation with the use of homeopathic Traumeel.

Auricular Acupuncture Treatment
Ear acupuncture is commonly referred to as auricular acupuncture. You can map the entire body in the ear, just like you can in the foot with foot reflexology. But, the ear is much more powerful! We can directly connect to your brain, cranial nerves, and all regions of the body using just the ear alone. Ear acupuncture can be used for just as many concerns as standard acupuncture. In addition to the use of small acupuncture needles, at the end of your treatment acupressure pellets will be left in place to continue the results of the treatment. The acupressure pellets are also known as ear seeds and can be left in the ear for 4-5 days. Auricular acupuncture is always performed with a 60 minute acupuncture treatment and rolled into the treatment cost. But if you are interested in trying out this treatment alone you now have the option.

Chinese Herbal Medicine and Chinese Diet Therapy Consultation (Telehealth style)
Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese diet therapy are other branches of Chinese medicine. This is one method of self-care that can be done and you can take charge of your own health. Foods, dietary supplements, and customized Chinese herbal formulas will be chosen based on Chinese diagnostic techniques to find your current body constitution. These diagnostic techniques include using the feeling of your pulses, looking at your tongue, and listening to your personal health story and explanation of your "symptoms" and how you personally feel. All this information will be used together to find patterns that the Chinese recognized centuries ago and create your Chinese diagnosis and your current body constitution.

As you start a new dietary and supplementation routine your body will change and your food lists and herbal formulas will change along with you over time. You can expect several treatments to start with follow-ups over time to adjust the custom food list and custom Chinese herbal formula as your health progresses.
